Assisted Living & Retirement Community

About Ivy Park at Wood Ranch

Ivy Park at Wood Ranch is an assisted living facility at 190 Tierra Rejada Rd in Simi Valley, CA 93065 — and if you've been quietly researching options for a loved one, this is the kind of concrete starting point that matters. Assisted living, at its core, means around-the-clock personal support for daily living, and Ivy Park at Wood Ranch operates 24 hours to cover exactly that need.

Simi Valley sits within the Greater Los Angeles Area, and it carries a community feel that tends to resonate with families thinking seriously about long-term care. The city's median age of 41.2 years reflects a population that's actively navigating the middle chapters of family life — often the moment when questions about aging parents move from "someday" to "soon." Simi Valley also has 12 parks spread across the city, which means the broader environment for daily life here is greener and more walkable than a lot of Southern California alternatives. That's a real-world quality-of-life factor worth weighing when you're thinking about where a family member will spend their days.

On the map, 190 Tierra Rejada Rd puts Ivy Park at Wood Ranch in the Wood Ranch corridor of Simi Valley. Two nearby landmarks — Strathearn Historical Park and Mount McCoy Cross — give you a useful sense of where in the city this sits. Strathearn Historical Park preserves the city's early ranching history and is a familiar reference point for long-time Simi Valley residents. Mount McCoy Cross is visible from a good stretch of the valley, a landmark locals use instinctively to orient themselves. Together, they place Ivy Park at Wood Ranch in a part of town that's recognizably Simi Valley in character — not a strip-mall edge but a residential, grounded section of the community.

One thing to factor into any planning: Simi Valley experiences 115.2 days per year above 90°F. If you're visiting from a cooler coastal zip code, that number is worth sitting with. For an assisted living facility, climate matters in very practical ways — outdoor programming, ventilation, and the general comfort of residents all tie back to the local weather reality. It's the kind of detail that doesn't show up in a brochure but is worth asking about directly when you tour.

When you're ready to visit Ivy Park at Wood Ranch, the practical details are straightforward. The facility has both a wheelchair accessible entrance and wheelchair accessible parking, so getting in is not a logistical obstacle for residents or family members with mobility considerations. You can reach them by phone at 805-584-8881 or visit the website at ivyliving.com/woodranch for more information before you make the trip. Because the facility is open 24 hours, calls aren't limited to a narrow business window — reach out when it works for you.

Very warm and friendly staff and residents.

I'm new to shopping around for assisted care. The staff was helpful and friendly! We stayed for lunch and the service and food was top notch. We had residents stop and say hello and share their positive experiences living at Ivy Place. The facility was beautifully decorated and clean... Rooms were beautiful and private. There were a lot of activities provided as well... This is definitely on the top of a short list. Thank you Samantha for taking such good care of us while we were there and answering all our questions.

My bandmate and I performed a show for their residents recently and it was such a beautiful experience. The staff was so helpful, welcoming, and kind. The residents were so happy we were there and really enjoyed the live music. Thanks for having us!
