About Ivy Park at Glen Cove

Ivy Park at Glen Cove is an assisted living facility at 140 Glen Cove Marina Rd in Vallejo, CA 94591 — the kind of place that takes the work of daily care seriously and puts it in a setting that makes that care feel a little less clinical. With a median age of 40.4 in Vallejo, the conversation around assisted living is one a lot of families here are actively having, and Ivy Park sits squarely in the middle of that conversation.

If you've ever driven out toward the marina on the east side of Vallejo, you already know the Glen Cove neighborhood has a different feel from the rest of the city. The address on Glen Cove Marina Rd puts Ivy Park right near Glen Cove Waterfront Park, which means residents and their visitors aren't staring at a parking lot — they're close to open water and green space. That proximity is worth noting when you're thinking about where a loved one will actually spend their days, not just where they'll sleep. Vallejo sits in Solano County, and this corner of it, out near the marina, carries a quieter, more residential character that stands apart from the city's busier stretches.

Vallejo itself is part of the North Bay region of the Bay Area, and it's a city with real range — from the energy around Six Flags Discovery Kingdom to quieter waterfront pockets like Glen Cove. That mix matters when you're weighing assisted living options, because proximity to a city with genuine activity means families visiting from elsewhere in the Bay Area have a real place to land, not just a highway exit. Summers here run warm, with average highs reaching 84.83°F, so the outdoor spaces near the waterfront get genuine use during the long season.

The facility operates daily from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, so those are the hours to plan around whether you're dropping by for a tour, a visit, or a conversation with staff. For anyone in the family who needs accessibility support, Ivy Park has both a wheelchair accessible entrance and wheelchair accessible parking on site — practical details that matter a lot when you're coordinating visits with older relatives or family members with mobility needs. You can reach them directly at 707-653-4728, or take a look at what they've put together at ivyliving.com/glencove/ before making the drive out.

If you're planning a first visit, the 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM window gives you a full workday to make it out there — mornings tend to be a good time to get a real sense of how a place runs. Parking is accessible on site, so you won't be navigating street parking along the marina. Glen Cove Waterfront Park is close enough that a walk after your visit is a natural add-on, especially on one of those warm Vallejo summer days.

We moved our mother to Ivy Park assisted living over a year ago at our urging so she was a bit apprehensive. Once she moved in and was settled she enjoyed meeting the other residents and participating in the many activities. We have been very pleased with the administrative staff, med techs/care giver staff, servers, activities staff and hospitality. We knew we had made the right decision selecting Ivy Park as her home. As our mother’s dementia progressed, we have now transitioned her into the Ivy Park Memory Care unit.

My mother in law has been here over a year. She was originally in independent living. We moved her there as she had friends that lived there and their families highly recommended it. They have a lot of great activities and outings on the bus. They take you to appointments if needed. We have eaten there with her and have gone to numerous events including Christmas, Thanksgiving and even a Luau. The food has been very good. We recently had to move her to memory care. They do a great job there as well. Lots of activity to keep them engaged and not just sitting in their rooms alone.

I’m so disappointed to have to write this review but hoping it helps others. We moved my parent into the lodge a few years ago and it was good, new and the staff were great. Unfortunately, things have gone down in terms of staff interactions, concern for residents, food quality and overall experience - since Ivy Park took over. Their staff are rude, don’t seem to have great consideration for residents and it seems to be all about money. It’s overpriced for what you get.
